Get a free emergency foil blanket with your order (one per order, while supplies last). www.zombietacticalcord.com No coupon code needed, we'll just add to your package. It's a little under 5'x7'. Just a catalyst to start your #zombieplan #justincase #emergencyplan Here's an idea to make an easy chainsaw carry case out of stuff you may already have. I wanted a chainsaw case for my Ryobi 10" One+ Lithium Battery powered chainsaw so i could carry it in my work vehicle without oil leaking everywhere, but didnt want to spend $40 on a case or bag. I had this large bag that came with a Ryobi One+ set but there are other big bags that as a home handyman/lady you may have picked up along the way. I wanted it to match the Ryobi green tools so i used this bag Sure, you can just throw a chainsaw in the back of the truck but most chainsaws will leak bar oil everywhere. So i scavenged the lid of one of the plastic containers i had lying around... The lid i used was from a Sterilite 12 quart container but you can use whatever size fits your bag Flip the lid over and double a single piece of Gorilla tape (it's extra sticky) and put it on the bottom of the lid. You don't have cover the whole bottom, you're only going to be holding cardboard to soak up the oil. I taped 2 pieces of cardboard together, again it doesn't have to be perfect and you don't have to frame the cardboard with tape. Trim as needed to fit on the lid you are using as a oil catch pan. Fit the cardboard on the upside down lid. The cardboard will soak up the oil and the lid will protect the bottom of the bag and keep oil from leaking out everywhere and catch any leftover woodchips. Replace the cardboard as necessary. Determine where you need to cut the bag for the bar to fit through. You can go back and sew some reinforcement trim around the cut hole if you like. Put it in the bag Put the bar oil in a ziplock bag and put it between the front handbrake/guard and the bag. When you zip the bag up it will keep the oil upright. Plenty of room for the battery and safety gear. You don't have to worry about ear protection with the electric chainsaw. That's it! Hope this guide was helpful or at least gives you some ideas to make your own.

Listed run time is 1.5 hours, runs off a single CR123 lithium battery blah blah blah, let's get to to the good and bad and the ugly. Short story is that it's not ready for primetime. The Good: Very well built, sturdy, gives a nice wide beam for clearing say, your house. Runs on the widely available cr123 vs some of the newer lights that run the CR2. Does have a lockout feature by turning the bezel. Looks very good on the gun. The Bad: the paddles suck. If you have big paws you might be able to activate the paddles with your index finger without changing your grip. I have average sized mits (wear a large glove) and I have to readjust my grip to toggle it on/off. The switch is responsive, press for on, press again for off, long press for momentary. Momentary for for clearing rooms wouldn't be convenient having to regrip. You can use your support hand thumb to press it but if you're going to have to open doors or whatever it's more convenient to have a better switch paddle. The paddles don't extend past the front of the trigger guard on the Glock pistols unlock the regular TLRs, Surefire X300 ultra, and inforce APL. Index finger doesn't reach paddle with regular grip Angle grip to reach paddle 2 handed grip allows you to activate the switch pretty well The ugly: the color of the LED is more warm and yellow so the 500 lumen almost looks as bright as a lower lumen APL-C. The bluer hue light appears bright vs the TLR-7 yellow. It just looks dull. Again the paddles, This would be a really good light if it had standard TLR switches. You could just turn it on and leave it on but that might not be the most tactically advantageous option. I wanted to like this light, I was excited to get it. I immediately started googling replacement paddles after putting this on my sidearm, which is not a good sign. A buddy bought it for me as an early birthday gift otherwise I would return it. (We were not asked by the manufacturer to review this product) It's back in the box and I'll find something to put it on or sell it. I went back to the APL-C. Comparison to APL-C Update: 02/24/2018 After trying this out some more and switching back and forth between multiple lights we can say: we like it a little better. It is noticeably brighter than the APL lights (APL-C on left, TLR-7 on the right) The yellowish tint plays a trick on the perception but it does push a brighter beam, wider hotspot and more spill. Still, the paddles aren't great. If we had a holder to fit it, i might carry it, but overall, until they make a better paddle system (maybe a TLR-7 v2.0?) Then we would switch over. It's still a very good light. Amazon affiliate link to TLR-7: http://amzn.to/2pfXDg6
*Note for those asking, it will not fit into an APL-C holster the "belly of the light is lower. Hope this review helps. Keep Calm and Carry Gear. Zombie Tactical Cord Zombie Plan in action, on a clear day, with the power on.
We all need a plan when the world falls apart, but sometimes our preps com in handy on a good day. The other day Mrs. ZTC tuned on the self clean on the oven, guess what... when the oven is too hot the burners won't cut on! I'm like, I want it hot, I'm trying to make pasta to go with my burger after working in the yard. So I hit the zombie plan and got the single burner I have stashed if we have to use the use the generator and dinner was saved. Single burner: http://amzn.to/2gtAUvL Side note, always get the upgrade on your gas grill and get the side burner. Weber wanted too much when I got the grill 13 years ago. use code " blog5 " for 5% off your next order in our store. Follow us for more: www.zombietacticalcord.com #zombieplan #zombies #prep #prepping #ztc Raiders of the Lost Zombie Plan Sometimes prepping for the apocalypse or the next hurricane can cause unforeseen issues… people. That’s one of the best lessons you can learn from watching shows like the Walking Dead, it’s the living that can cause the most drama. Regardless if it’s zombies or winter, stocking supplies is a must, but sometimes you have to hide your preps. We all know we gotta have a zombie plan but if your family or friends know everything you have squirreled away, you might lose your nuts. Kids will pilfer their bug out bags for clean socks, your neighbor might come over with the whole “Hey, my grill ran out of gas and it’s halftime, can I borrow your extra tank of propane so I don’t miss the game?”, or in a recent case at our lair, you can’t even get your supplies to your hidey hole without the family raiding it like hungry raccoons. Hell, our youngin' can go through a box of ramen like an actual trash panda, she doesn't even cook them, just eats them raw because "it's so much work" to boil water for 3 minutes! :O It is time to rotate out our bottled water supply, bottled water has an expiration or “Best by Date” of about 2 years depending on brand. My family will bust open a pack if I leave it out, so I hid a case in back seat of the Tactical Tacoma until I had a day off. Mrs. ZTC drove the Taco of Doom the other day and snacked 2 bottles of water. Bless her heart I love that woman (hope she doesn’t read this).
So sometimes you have to look like someone hiding a body; bringing things into the house at 3am wrapped in a blanket (like I have the newest case under an old blanket in the garage) just to defeat your friends and family. Sometimes you even have to put out some decoy supplies to hide the main stash. Determination and cunning can be your best allies when preparing for the worst. Remember to rotate items out as necessary and mark the “Use By Date” clearly on the package so it’s easy to see what needs to go first. Good luck prepping Horde, Be Ready, Stay Safe. I love tools, gear, technology, and convenience... but when did I forget how to work an apple?! We often ask "where have all the real men gone?" I always figured the decline was somewhere between domestication of cats and sushi, but maybe it was when we used our knives to first cut up the fruit from the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. Who told you that you were dirty? It is often beneficial to get our hands messy and our clothes wrinkled. If you're having problems please reach out to someone, you are not alone and the weight of the world is not your sole burden to bear. Everyone, please check on your friends and family, even the strong ones. Check on those who check on you. It's very simple to text someone "Happy Friday, Hope You Enjoy Your Weekend" or "Happy Monday, Hope You Have A Good Week". A support group doesn't have to a bible study, it could be a group of friends that go get wings or pizza and argue over if it is an affront to nature to put pineapple on that pizza. Just let someone know you care, but also know that people make their own decisions. If you are hurting, phone a friend, take some bread to the park and feed the ducks, hug your dog... whatever it takes, You are not alone, you are loved. Have a good night Horde, tomorrow will be better. Go then, there are other worlds than these. Rest easy my friend, you were loved and your absence will be noticed. The Magpul Ambi Sling Attachment Plate is our favorite sling mount for the AR platform with a single point sling allowing you to easily switch shoulders without your sling getting in the way.
The only problem comes in with the metal attachment ring that links the mount to the sling clasp.
Metal on metal isn't usually very tactical and can make quite a racket.
So, grab your trusty bolt cutters and cut the link off (use all proper gloves and eyewear crap so you don't hurt yourself).
Then slip the loop through the sling mount but DON'T run the loop or knot through the other. This will cause the paracord to tighten when it's hanging and won't allow it to swing from side to side easily.
Clip your sling clip/ hook through both ends,
That's it! Enjoy your single point sling and your more stealthy Sling mount!
